I'm back in Baltimore, and Nicholas finally seemed happy about it this morning. For future reference, it's probably better, if I'm hoping for a good reaction to my arrival, to come back in the morning or afternoon and not in the evening. That's his cranky time, and I don't think it would matter who showed up.
